Terms and Conditions

Effective date: 26 October 2026

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Hashiru’s running training planner (the “Service”). References to “Hashiru”, “we”, “us”, and “our” mean the operator of the Service. Please read these Terms before using the Service. By using the Service or creating an account after these Terms have been made available to you, you agree to them. If you do not agree, you should discontinue use.

Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled. Acknowledging that Policy does not waive any privacy right or constitute consent to unrelated uses of information.

1. The Service

Hashiru provides tools to create, view, generate, and customise running training plans around primary and secondary races, weekly preferences, workouts, and other commitments. The currently available planner features may be used as a guest. An account provides account-linked storage and access to saved plans across devices.

Generated plans use programmed training rules and workout templates. AI recommendations, Garmin and Strava integrations, watch synchronisation, and activity imports are not currently provided. The Service does not send verification, password-recovery, or guest-expiry emails. References to possible future features do not constitute a commitment to deliver them.

The Service currently has no subscription charges or payment collection. Any future paid service would require separate disclosure of its price and applicable terms before you choose to purchase it; these Terms do not authorise a charge.

2. Eligibility and account security

You must have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms under the law applicable to you. If you are under the age at which you can do so independently, a parent or legal guardian must authorise and supervise your use to the extent permitted by that law.

If you register, you must use an email address you control, provide accurate account information, and keep your password confidential. The Service does not currently verify email ownership or offer password recovery. Choosing an address you do not control, forgetting your password, or losing browser access can prevent you from accessing saved information.

You are responsible for use of your account or guest browser access to the extent it is within your control. You must not use another person’s account or attempt to gain access to a plan without authority. You are not responsible under these Terms for a security failure caused by us merely because your account was affected.

3. Guest drafts and saved plans

A guest draft is stored on the server and accessed using an essential cookie in the browser that created it. It is temporary storage, not a permanent account. Guest access expires after 30 consecutive days without a qualifying planner visit or successful change. A return to the planner in the same browser before expiry renews access to that browser’s unexpired drafts. Expired drafts are inaccessible and eligible for periodic deletion. An on-screen warning does not guarantee an email or other reminder.

Deleting cookies, using private browsing, changing browsers or devices, or losing access to the original browser may prevent recovery of a guest draft. A plan identifier alone is insufficient to regain access.

When you successfully register or sign in and return to the planner in the same browser, matching unexpired guest drafts are linked to your account alongside existing account plans. Account-linked plans are excluded from guest cleanup. Signing out does not delete account data. The Privacy Policy describes retention and data rights in more detail.

Keep a separate record of information you cannot afford to lose. This does not limit any duty we have under applicable law to exercise reasonable care or remedy a failure of the Service.

4. Training guidance and health

The Service is a general training-planning tool. Its plans, workload warnings, workout descriptions, and effort ranges are informational and are not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or a professional assessment of your fitness to exercise. Use does not establish a clinician–patient or personal coaching relationship.

Running and racing involve physical exertion and a risk of injury or other adverse outcomes. A generated plan cannot assess your medical history, symptoms, injury status, fatigue, terrain, weather, or ability to recover. Before beginning or materially increasing strenuous training, obtain appropriate advice from a qualified health professional where your circumstances require it. Do not disregard symptoms or professional advice to complete a scheduled workout.

Review plans and individual workouts against your current capabilities. You remain responsible for deciding whether, when, and how to train, and for reducing, postponing, or stopping exercise when appropriate. Overriding a warning or changing a workout does not establish that the resulting schedule is suitable or safe.

Optional lactate threshold heart rate and pace assistance relies on values you provide and generalised calculations. It is not a laboratory measurement or a guarantee of your physiological training zones. Distance, pace, intensity, recovery, and progression suggestions are estimates and must be interpreted in context. We do not guarantee a race result, performance improvement, injury-free training, or completion of a particular event.

5. Your information and content

You retain the rights you hold in the race details, notes, commitments, and other content you submit. You grant us a non-exclusive permission to store, process, reproduce, and display that content only as reasonably necessary to provide, maintain, and secure the Service and comply with applicable law. This permission does not grant us the right to sell your personal information or use your plans to train an AI model.

You must have the right to submit your content and must not include another person’s confidential information without authority. Avoid using notes to store medical records, passwords, or information unrelated to training planning. Our handling and retention of personal information remain subject to the Privacy Policy and applicable law.

6. Acceptable use

You must use the Service lawfully and must not:

  • access, change, or disclose another person’s account or plans without permission;
  • circumvent authentication, ownership checks, request limits, or other security measures;
  • introduce malicious code, disrupt the Service, or deliberately impose an unreasonable load;
  • submit unlawful content or use the Service to infringe another person’s rights; or
  • misrepresent your identity or imply an endorsement or affiliation that does not exist.

Nothing in these restrictions prevents an activity that applicable law expressly permits and does not allow us to restrict.

7. Intellectual property

The Service’s software, branding, design, and original materials are owned by their respective rights holders. Subject to these Terms, you may access and use the Service and use your training plans for your own training. You may not copy or commercially exploit protected elements of the Service without permission, except where applicable law or a separate licence permits it. Third-party and open-source components remain subject to their own licences.

Race names entered by users are descriptive references. Their appearance does not imply that Hashiru is affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by an event organiser.

8. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service usable and reliable, but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Access may be affected by maintenance, software faults, network failures, hosting-provider outages, or events beyond reasonable control. Saving requires a successful connection to the server; a visible unsaved edit is not confirmation that it has been stored.

We may make reasonable changes to improve the Service, address security or legal requirements, or change its available features. Where a material change or discontinuation would adversely affect access to saved plans, we will provide reasonable notice through the Service where practicable, except where urgent security or legal action prevents it. No provision in this section removes a remedy required by applicable law.

9. Suspension and ending use

You may stop using the Service at any time. Signing out or clearing cookies does not delete server-stored account or plan data. There is currently no self-service account-deletion control.

We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to address a material breach of these Terms, unauthorised access, a security threat, or a legal obligation. Any action should be proportionate to the circumstances. Where lawful and practicable, we will explain the reason and provide an opportunity to resolve an issue before permanently ending account access. Urgent protective action may be taken without prior notice.

Ending access does not remove obligations that by their nature continue, including applicable content rights, confidentiality, statutory rights, and liability for events that have already occurred. Retention of personal information remains subject to the Privacy Policy and applicable law.

10. Consumer rights and liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies a consumer guarantee, privacy right, statutory remedy, or other right or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified. This includes any applicable requirement to provide services with reasonable care and skill. Any limitation below operates only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Except for express commitments in these Terms and protections provided by law, we do not give additional warranties that the Service or a generated plan will meet every individual requirement or achieve a particular training outcome.

We are not responsible for losses to the extent they are caused by inaccurate information you supply, misuse of the Service, or circumstances outside our reasonable control, unless applicable law places that responsibility on us. We do not accept liability for business losses arising from use of this personal training planner or for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when these Terms were accepted.

These Terms do not exclude liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where such liability cannot lawfully be excluded. They do not require you to indemnify us for our own acts or omissions.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms for reasonable operational, legal, or security reasons. The effective date identifies the current version. Material changes will be notified through the Service with reasonable advance notice where practicable. Changes will not retrospectively remove accrued rights or apply to an existing dispute. Where law requires express agreement to a change, we will obtain it. If you do not agree to revised Terms, you may discontinue use without a cancellation charge.

12. General provisions

If a provision is found unenforceable, it will apply to the extent lawfully permitted, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect. A failure to enforce a provision on one occasion does not waive the right to enforce it later.

These Terms do not require arbitration, waive a right to bring a claim, or deprive you of mandatory protections or access to courts available under the law applicable to you.
